Answer: The Washington Homeland Security Roundtable is a 501c(6) non-profit group of 40-50 individuals from companies who are actively engaged in homeland security policies, practices, procedures, and procurements as a user or supplier of homeland security equipment or services designed to protect the US homeland. Our luncheons generally feature a senior level DHS official who will give a brief overview in the 5-7 minute range, fairly informal in nature - and then questions are taken from the audience. We have designed the Roundtable to be an open dialogue between Roundtable members and public officials who impact, influence and set policy and procedures affecting the U. S. Department of Homeland Security and other federal, state and local organizations that are engaged in homeland security efforts. We strive for a setting that fosters open conversations between WHSR members and the DHS representative to establish how industry can better serve the needs of DHS in the specific department or mission area being represented.
