Answer: The Valley Fever Americas Foundation is a qualified charitable 501(c)(3) organization registered with Guidestar and Kern County Community Foundation. It was founded to help meet the dream of Dr. Hans Einstein and other local physicians for a vaccine to prevent the suffering and loss caused by this awful disease. VFAF is entirely volunteer run, with almost zero overhead as we work from our homes. We have been able to donate over $600,000 to Valley fever research in the twenty years since we were founded, and helped the Valley Fever Vaccine Project, a public/private coalition, raise over $15 million from the state and other supporters. Current research has expanded to include both a vaccine and a potential cure.
