TBS has been processing vehicles in the Houston area since incorporation in 1983.From 1983 to 1992 TBS operated in La Porte, Texas and processed vehicles for Chrysler, BMW, Volvo, Yugo, Peugeot, and Ford tractors. In May 1992, the business moved to the Port of Houston and has been the vehicle processor for Volkswagen Group of America for 21 years. In 2002, TBS began processing cars for Bentley Motors Incorporated and in November, 2006 Porsche Cars North America was added as a customer at the Port of Houston. TBS provides customized software for both rail and truck logistics, giving each individual carrier real time access to their available inventory By providing rail service for the US and Canada TBS has developed strong business relationships with customs specialists on both Canadian and Mexican borders as well as a unique knowledge base related to: Tracking railcar arrivals Ordering equipment Building railcar loads Creating required electronic data interface with rail carriers Quantifying weights and values for proper handling of Canadian in-transit bond Assuring compliance with bond expiration dates
