Answer: The Funds Transfer Alliance (FTA) is a family of partnerships in the Electronic Funds Transfer and Merchant Aquiring industries dating back to 1851. With over 24 years of industry experience, the FTA is currently powered by the largest credit card processing entity in the world. Its history is routed in the technology and financial sectors, and because of that, the FTA's services and specialties were once far reaching. It maintained only a supportive role in the credit card processing industry until 1999. It wasn't until then that the "Funds Transfer Alliance" name started to take shape as it's own brand in conjunction with a proprietary auditing system that it developed and designed to identify low risk, "Major Accounts" nationwide on both an agent bank and merchant level. The FTA's superior competencies in technology and risk analysis enabled it to leverage the auditing system's proven success and negotiate controls over pricing and service levels that are truly unique to the FTA. For the past 11 years, the Funds Transfer Alliance has expanded its national selection process while making simultaneous efforts to remain in full control of its exposure to the general public. In support of this desire to stay modest and out of the spotlight, the FTA has a strict non-marketing approach to identifying these low risk accounts and takes significant pride in having a substantial and positive impact on the businesses and communities it represents. "We follow the Golden Rule and really feel like what we're doing isn't magic. It's just like with loans, car insurance, and credit scores, if you are low risk, you deserve something better. We're just lucky enough to have the relationships and power to reward people for their efforts." - Amber Williams - Chief Operating Officer
