Answer: The Firing Pin, L.L.C. offers full service Firearm Refinishing, Specializing in traditional Color Case Hardening (w/Bone & Wood Charcoal), Hot Bluing, Slow Rust Bluing and Rust Browning. Dan is first and foremost a Christian. He is a U.S. Marine, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine!", a retired NC Highway Patrolman and he attended Piedmont Community College in Roxboro North Carolina where he graduated from their two (2) year Gunsmithing course. "In business since 2001, I have been interested in refinishing/restoration of firearms and I think that Color Case Hardening, HotBluing, Slow Rust Bluing and Rust Browning is a work of art. I like to work my hands. Double shotguns such as Parker's, Winchesters, Lefever's, Ithaca's, LC Smiths etc. is what I like to work on. Plus I like to work on lever actions such as Winchesters and Marlins. Once I retired from the highway patrol, I went back to school to get my Gunsmithing degree and learn how to work on other peoples weapons. And I especially like to Color Case Hardened".
