Answer: The Coding School (TCS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to ensure that the next generation is prepared with the technical skills needed for the future of work. As pioneers in emerging technology education, we believe there is a critical and unmet need to provide students - especially students from underrepresented backgrounds in STEM - with skills and knowledge in the technologies that will change the nature of how we conduct business, how we interact and connect, and society at large. TCS specializes in teaching programs on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, and Quantum Computing. Our programs are designed for K-12 students and educators, community college and university students, faculty, and current members of the workforce to gain in-depth knowledge and real world skills, and we have developed first-of-their-kind pathways for students as young as middle school to begin learning these subjects early on. At TCS, our goal is to provide students of all backgrounds with accessible and high quality STEM education, increase diversity in STEM, and ultimately train the next generation of responsible STEM leaders. To date, we have taught over 50,000 students and educators from all 50 states and 125 countries. More than 55% of our students come from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in STEM.
