Teeth Whitening is one of the most requested cosmetic procedures in dentistry today. It is also a simple cosmetic procedure to administer if done right. Doing it right means using a proper whitening agent (that is, a good hydrogen peroxide gel) and an appropriate whitening accelerator. The client inserts a cheek retractor, applies Vitamin E to the gums and lips, and then using our Applia System applies the whitening gel directly on the teeth. The client relaxes in the chair with the light on for 15 minutes, at which time the light automatically goes off, the client removes the cheek retractor from their mouth, and they then rinse their mouth with water. If a second 15-minute session is to be done, the process is repeated. After final mouth rinsing, the ending shade is agreed upon and the treatment is complete. Lastly, the client is given post treatment instructions both verbally and written, and the client takes their tray home with them in a case.
