Answer: Hi, Im Don, a father and the creator of Sweet Baby Shade. When my daughter Leilani was a baby, she loved being taken for walks around our neighborhood and community in her stroller. These walks became a great bonding opportunity for us, and they also gave my wife some much needed personal time. One bright and sunny day here in Southern California, I was taking Leilani for a walk in her stroller when the sunlight hit her eyes and she started crying. I did what most parents would do, I tried pulling the cover on her stroller up, but realized it did not provide adequate shade to protect her eyes from the sun. Next, I tried putting a blanket over Leilanis stroller to shield her from the sun, which worked for a minute before she started crying because it was too dark and she could no longer see me and it got too hot for her. I realized not being able to help reassure or console her was a problem too. During the rest of our walk I was constantly maneuvering and walking left and right to keep shielding Leilani from the sunlight. Thank goodness, my head is a little bigger than most, so I was able to block it! I realized there had to be a better way. I wanted to see my baby safe and happy, which is true for all parents. This is where the idea for Sweet Baby Shade came from. We designed Sweet Baby Shade for a universal fit, that easily attaches to any stroller or car seat, or on the inside of any car-door windows.
