The history of Swann Homes unique home building company begins with the history of the company's principle owner, Joel Swann. Joel is a Mechanical Engineer with 35+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of HVAC equipment. This manufacturing background is the root of Swann Homes today. In 1999, Joel was introduced to the residential home building industry as a consultant to apply lean manufacturing principles to other home building businesses. After 3 years as a consultant, he realized that the stronger the commitment to these lean principles, the greater the benefits to the business and customers alike. In 2004, Joel created Apogee Homes, Inc., and opened for business. Apogee Homes built over 150 new homes in northwest Florida and south Alabama. In 2017, Trent Swann joined the business and Swann Homes was created to serve the community. Swann Homes is committed to build the best homes worthy of the family name.
