The Starfire Way For students to know the algorithm to solve a problem is not sufficient. They will understand why the algorithm works (concepts). Tutor-coaches Starfire Education tutor-coaches are personable, caring, supportive, math and science experts who meet their students at their level. We tutor students (4th grade-College) who want to improve their understanding and enjoyment of math and science. Starfire tutors-coaches are graduates of the nations top math and science programs, including Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Brown, U Penn, San Jose State. They love to help students develop a strong conceptual understanding and mastery of math and science.
