Answer: Founded in 2014, Springhouse envisions a world where all life thrives. The Springhouse community practices and shares the Sourced Design principles of taking care of vulnerability, cultivating personhood, building beloved community, learning from the Earth, and loving and serving others. At Springhouse, we build a more vital culture in three ways: Education: Springhouse has a school where we learn, one day at a time, how to take better care of life; Media: Springhouse is the home of Sourced Press, where we spread the message through honest and creative media that life is a gift and we must take care of it; Strong Network: Springhouse has a strong local and global network made up of people who support our vision and mission. We sustain and grow a healthy culture through this network. We need to practice if we are to live in a way that consistently takes better care of life. Through our accredited high school for teens, and our 8-month Sourced Design program for adults, we practice Sourced Design as a community in place over time, with the support of trusted and experienced mentors. The Springhouse Network provides support to those who are committed to practicing this design in the world. Sourced Press boldly spreads the message that we must start taking better care of life now, beginning with our own. The Press wakes us up to our current cultural crisis, the power and intelligence of Life, and moves us toward thoughtful action. Springhouse is accessible to all who want to learn a way to take care of life. Springhouse is supported by a strong network who contributes the money, physical resources, and time needed to sustain our mission.
