Answer: Silver Lining Riding is a local non-profit that helps children and adults with physical and mental disabilities through interaction with horses and equine programs. We are an equine-assisted learning center specializing in adaptive/therapeutic riding and horsemanship. People with physical, emotional, psychological, and educational needs have all benefitted from our programs. A disability does not have to limit a person from riding horses. Horseback riding rhythmically moves the body in a manner similar to a human gait, and students with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance, and muscle strength. Our PATH and CHA certified instructors work with riders ranging from 4 years old to seniors, to motivate and assist them in safely developing independent skills that can carry over to their everyday lives. We help people overcome lifes obstacles through equine interaction.
