Answer: Hand Crafted Artisan Skincare 100% Natural, plant-based formulas. Made in small batches for freshness. Natural: Existing in or produced by nature. It is not enough that skincare be natural, but it is equally important that the product you are using not alter the natural, protective state of the skin. The true definition of Natural Skincare is a product that is solely of nature, not contaminated by harmful or synthetic chemicals. When applied to the skin, the product should work in perfect harmony with the skin, without disrupting or destroying what exists naturally. To achieve this a product must be formulated WITHOUT water. Water itself is not bad; we need water. Water sustains life . . . but, therein lies the problem, where there is water, there can be life in the form of bacteria and other harmful microbes. So if there is water, even a drop of water in a product that is applied to the skin, a preservative MUST be used. It makes no difference whether the preservative is natural or synthetic, if that preservative is doing its job, it is killing bacteria and microbes that grow in the product . . . this is good. What is not good however, is that the preservative will also kill the beneficial bacteria (flora) that live on our skin and protect our immune system. This can severely compromise our health. We must protect our skin flora for our overall health and wellbeing. One day this will be common knowledge and all skincare will be free of water. Our goal is to provide you with the purest most honest products. Our inspiration is nature.
