Our business was originally located in a 3,500-square-foot facility in Salem, Mass. The shop caught fire in 1986, making way for the company to move to a 30,000 square-foot-facility in Middleton, Mass. Although our growing business needed the additional space, rebuilding the company after the fire wasnt easy. It took a great coming together of loyal employees (who didnt want to work elsewhere) and loyal customers (who promised to return once the shop was operational). The dedication and superior customer service of Salem Metals employees has remained consistent over the years and has been fundamental to our success. We take pride in our work and are highly responsive to customer needs. Our low employee turnover and long-lasting relationships with a diverse customer base have allowed the business to thrive through the rise and fall of many industries. Today, Salem Metal comprises a 85,000-square foot, air-conditioned, temperature- controlled manufacturing area and an in-house paint facility to serve all of our customers needs. With a cohesive team of 65 precision craftsmen, we provide detail-orientated, flexible services to the electronics and telecommunication industries, as well as a variety of medical-device producers and computer manufacturers.
