Answer: The Rancho Partnership is collaboration among three organizations: the two Partners, Rancho Santiago Community College District Foundation (Rancho), in Orange County, CA, and Al Khaleej Training and Education, Inc. (Al Khaleej), in Saudi Arabia; and fiveDlearning, Inc. (5DL), a US firm that supports collaborative education projects between colleges and universities in advanced and emerging economies. The Partnership has been formed to collaborate with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE) and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to develop the capabilities of certain TVTC Colleges, beginning with the Al Baha College of Technology (BCT). Over the next three years, the Partners will work together to prepare BCTs leaders and staff to assume fully autonomous operational control over their College, which is presently administered in part from Riyadh. We will also work to improve BCTs instructional and student success operations, in order to greatly increase both the number of students graduating successfully, and the ability of those students to secure competitive positions in their chosen fields and develop successful, prosperous long-term careers.
