Answer: PSI Project Management (PSIPM) is a Project Management Institute Authorized Training Partner (ATP), and it specializes in training project managers. PSIPM has developed a unique approach to train candidates for the PMP/CAPM exam. The Advanced Project Management Program provides five weeks of precourse study which includes reading, exercises, and simulated testing. The precourse study is completed at the leisure of the student over a four-week period and will require the candidate to devote approximately 10 15 hours of study each week. The precourse study is then followed by an intense 40 hours of classroom instruction that is conducted virtually over a five-day period. The objective of the course is to provide the students with knowledge and skill necessary to pass the appropriate exam and to provide the students with working project management knowledge they can take back to their company and use as they conduct their professional responsibilities. PSIPM also offers a Practical Project Management course which is designed for project managers who want to develop or improve their project management methodology. This course is based on generally accepted project management practices and procedures. It is also based on a practical application of the PMIs PMBOK Guide. Example project management subsidiary plans and working documents are provided and discussed throughout the course. The course is dedicated to developing a firm understanding of what is required for projects to be successful and to enable the repeatability of successful project management. PSIPM also conducts corporate courses based on the need of the customer. This may include either the Advanced Project Management Program, The Practical Project Management Course, or a course specifically designed for the client. ATPs and ATP Instructors have met PMIs rigorous quality criteria for course content, instructor qualification, and instructional design.
