Answer: The Portuguese Creek Mine is an environmentally-friendly mining project in Lincoln County, Idaho that is developing platinum group metals for the growing clean energy and environmental technology industries. Its production of platinum, gold and other metals will be derived from 50 million tons of ore reserve that has been delineated on 10 claims in a larger holding of over two square miles of 70 mining claims leased on US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. It is a brownfield project in an advanced exploration stage with an extensive database and two reports (43-101 compliant PEA-TR, 2016 and JORC, 2020) showing technical and economic feasibility upon drilling and wet metallurgy test work. Extensive test work is scheduled for 2022-2023 with special regards to environmentally friendly dry mining and recovery of critical and rare earth elements in the downstream process of main minerals. Environmental permitting for industrial scale mining will also be on the agenda.
