Answer: With operations starting in 1963 in down town Harrah, Oklahoma, William "Bill" H Dull Jr. began by selling life insurance to family and friends. As he stated before, once he ran out of friends and family to sell to, Bill decided to start selling property and casualty coverage to the community. As the business grew, Bills wife Barbara left her job working for the State of Oklahoma and joined her husband in the family venture. Around this time, Bill and Barbara were approached by local home builder J.B. Jaggers to see if they would be interested in selling the homes he was building. Never one to miss an opportunity, Bill, as well as Barbara, jumped on the offer. Thus, Dull Insurance & Real Estate was born. This also led the Dulls to dabble in property development as well as home building. They developed the Woodcrest Estates and Horseshoe Lake sub-divisions, both located in Harrah. They also built several homes in the Harrah area that you can still see around town today. As time went on, Bill and Barbara left the real estate and home building businesses behind and decided to purchase a few smaller insurance agencies to focus solely on growing their property and casualty business. Around 1980, Dull Insurance merged with the Ewton Agency of Choctaw, Oklahoma. After this merger, Bill changed the agency name to Omega Insurance Agency and bought the barn shaped office building in Choctaw, Oklahoma where the agency is currently located today. In 1992 Barbara retired from the business. In 1997 Bill and Barbaras three sons, Russell, Scott and Dean, began their transition into agency ownership. Shortly thereafter in 1998, Bill retired from the business, as well. Today, the agency is still run by the Dull brothers and remains an active business within the community. Omega and its owners are current members of the Harrah Chamber of Commerce and Choctaw Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma.
