Answer: Miami Bayside Foundation (MBF) is a nonprofit organization designed to advance economic development in the City of Miami through the support of minority businesses and education. MBF seeks to do this through the creation and administration of loan programs for minority businesses, through the creation of programs and educational scholarships for minorities, and by providing technical assistance to minority-owned businesses MBF has awarded more than 550 scholarships to City of Miami minority students attending Miami Dade College, Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade Public High Schools and D.A. Dorsey, George T. Baker Aviation, and Lindsey Hopkins Technical Colleges. It also awarded more than 50 loans to minority-owned businesses that have helped create more than 250 jobs in the City of Miami, and created partnerships that have helped train more than 200 City of Miami minority business owners.. SCHOLARSHIPS By partnering with institutions such as Miami Dade College, Florida International University (FIU), Florida Memorial University (FMU), and George T. Baker, Lindsey Hopkins, and D.A. Dorsey Technical Colleges, MBF will award thousands of scholarships to minority students for years to come. LOAN PROGRAMS The primary mission of MBF is to provide easier access to funds for minority entrepreneurs. MBF offers and administers loan programs that provides loans to minority businesses in the City of Miami. The minimum criteria for an organization to be considered for a loan are found on our website. In addition to its loan programs, MBF provides minority-owned businesses with tools and resources such as counseling and training in business development and management and other related services.
