For JR Prather, president, his grandfather Raymond, and in fact every Lucas employee, that means just delivering a product isn't enough. Lucas Metal Works offers a wide range of products and services. With a full line of pre-engineered all-steel buildings, innovative red iron framing, and a complete catalog of building components and accessories, Lucas has much to offer both contractors and weekend do-it-yourselfers. Lucas is also well-known for their division of arena tools know as, The Ground Hog Arena Tool. The Ground Hog was created in 1996 by Raymond Lucas for the sole use of keeping his family safe while they rode barrels at the local arena on their property. Now The Ground Hog has become one of the most asked-for brands among arena groomers in ranching and rodeo. The Ground Hog is used by rodeos across the country including the granddaddy of them all, the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
