He is a former professor, having taught Acting and Theatre History at Stony Brook University in New York, and he has served as Director of The School of Cinema and Performing Arts in the Berkshires. Mr. Riggs has produced or co-produced over 50 live events both Off and Off-Off Broadway. He has been nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his work in the feature film Kaaterskill Falls, and he has also been honored with a National Pen Award. In addition to his work in both film and theater, Mr. Riggs has also co-founded three theaters in New York City: Signature Theatre Company, Camilla's Theatre Gallery, and Manhattan Theatre Source. Mr. Riggs is an Apple-Certified Final Cut Pro Training Instructor, and he has taught Final Cut Pro at New York University, New York Film Academy, Manhattan Edit Workshop, and Future Media Concepts.
