Answer: Lede Family Wines was established in 2002 when Proprietor Cliff Lede acquired sixty acres in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, creating Cliff Lede Vineyards. Today, Winemaker Chris Tynan crafts Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, with the flagship, Poetry Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the steep hillside portion of the estate. In 2005, the luxurious five-room Poetry Inn opened, becoming the only accomodations in Napa Valley's Stags Leap Disctict. Designed by world-renowned architect Howard Backen, the Inn is perched on a hillside overlooking the entire Valley floor and is run like a private villa, mixing elegance with subtlety. Lede acquired Breggo Cellars in Mendocino's Anderson Valley in 2009, and the famed Savoy Vineyard in 2011. On March 1, 2014, Breggo Cellars was rebranded as FEL Wines, with Winemaker Ryan Hodgins continuing to make elegant Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines from select vineyards in the Anderson Valley and Sonoma Coast, including the estate Savoy Vineyard. FEL is a tribute to Cliff Lede's mother, Florence Elsie Lede, who provided the early inspiration for his love of wine.
