Answer: At the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves to live in an environment that is healthy, safe, clean, and beautiful. As a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, we support a network of more than 70 local affiliates to protect and improve Georgias environment through our main initiatives: litter prevention, recycling and waste reduction, and beautification. We have a 40-year history of doing the little things that make a big difference in Georgia's communities. Created as a state program in 1978 by Governor George Busbee, we became a 501(c)3 nonprofit in May 2011. With offices at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, our unique structure as a public-private partnership allows us to benefit from the resources of citizens in all sectors: civic, government, and business.
