Answer: A large number of industries use hydrazine on a daily basis. These highly toxic compounds, hydrazine (Hz) and monomethylhydrazine (MMH), are extremely useful fuels. These compounds are used by both NASA and USAF as a rocket propellant and also as an emergency power source on the F-16 by the USAF. Civilian industries utilize hydrazine in the manufacture of agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals, in photography, and as a corrosion inhibitor (oxygen scavenger) in boiler systems at power plants.
