Answer: HumanBulb is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of unleashing innovation through equity-focused innovation entrepreneurship education and acceleration programs for youth and professionals. Our Programs: Sacramento for a Smarter, Greener Future is a 10 week accelerator for early stage sustainability innovators that incorporates knowledge sharing from international, national, and local ecosystems. We aim to have at least 50% of our program participants come from underserved communities, including women, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) & LGBTQ+ innovators. We host pre-accelerator equity bootcamps with local community partners to better prepare participants from underserved communities and lower the barriers to entry into innovation entrepreneurship. Weve partnered with Startup World Cup to organize 4 regional competitions in 2023 in Sacramento, Orange County, Austin & NYC. Regional competition winners go on to compete in the Global Grand Finale Semifinals and Final in San Francisco in December 2023 completing against the winners of 70+ regional competitions around the world for a $1 million investment prize! Youth STEM Entrepreneurship Programs: Our sustainability-focused innovation entrepreneurship bootcamps for youth ages 13-18 are designed in modules that mimic the essential steps in innovation entrepreneurship. Participants gain a strong overall understanding of concepts involved in innovation entrepreneurship while simultaneously learning sustainability-focused STEM subject matter content. Career Exploration Programs for youth. FutureReady Leaders is a forward-thinking youth leadership program designed to equip high school-aged students with the skills and experiences they need to thrive in the changing, technology-dependent workplace of the future. The program focuses on nurturing essential soft skills and providing hands-on exposure to technologies.
