Answer: Hollenbeck Palms offers an ideal environment for you to become part of a vibrant society of elders who still want to lead purposeful lives! We are a non profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), governed by a Board of Trustees with resident representation. Our residents can age in place in elegant residential and assisted living, and if needed take advantage of our 24 hour skilled nursing center or state of the art memory enhancement unit, all under the haven of our eight and half acres of gated, garden campus, with stunning views of the city. The community is 9 minutes away from all the cultural amenities of Downtown Los Angeles, and the culinary delights of Little Tokyo and China Town. Hollenbeck was the home of John and Elisabeth Hollenbeck who gifted their estate to cerate Hollenbeck Home in 1890. In 1926 Hollenbeck became the first ever licensed nursing home in California. Over 130 years of compassionate care is reflected in our ethos to "provide comfortable, enjoyable, and secure retirement living that attends to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of our residents, with great compassion, honest dignity and genuine love."
