Answer: Founded in 2010, H-Town Dream Center is a faith-based 501(c)3 nonprofit faithfully serving Montgomery County and the Greater Houston Area. Our mission is to give the hope, healing and freedom of Christ to the most vulnerable by helping break the chains of oppression and poverty, so they begin to dream again and become contributing members of society. This is made possible through our three Pillars of Impact: (1) FEEDING THE HUNGRY: Our Food Pantry provides over 23,000 meals per week to the homeless, individuals in crisis and families in need with the help of devoted volunteers. (2) RESCUING WOMEN & CHILDREN IN CRISIS: Our Hope Center provides safe shelter to women and children who are survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and crisis pregnancy. (3) EDUCATING AT-RISK YOUTH: Our Community Center offers a safe place for under-resourced youth to find mentoring through sports, recreation, and education. PROGRAMS: Care & Share Food Pantry and Distribution Center, (Giving Hope to the Hungry) On the first three Fridays of every month, between 9-11am, the food pantry provides groceries to children, the elderly and under-resourced families. Over 62,500 pounds of food is distributed each month, providing and estimated 75,000 meals. TENT CITY: (Giving Hope to the Homeless) Each month on the third Saturday, our Dream Team takes to the streets to show the love of God to the homeless in Conroe. We currently serve approximately 50-100 people monthly with meals, blankets, clothes, hygiene bags and more. HOUSES OF HOPE: (Giving Hope to the Broken) Through our Houses of Hope, we provide safe housing for up to 50 women and children year-round, where they can discover God's purpose for their lives and begin to dream again. Every woman cared for at H-Town Dream Center is asked to commit to a 9-month, faith-based discipleship program where they learn the Bible and receive the love, hope and grace God has for them.
