Answer: GenX Generator is a full service, turnkey contractor for installation and maintenance of residential and commercial backup generator systems. A division of Highland Park Electric, we are the largest residential full service Generac dealer (Premier Dealer level) in the Midwest. Powered by your natural gas, a standby generator requires no refueling, and is permanently installed next to your home so that it powers the existing electric circuitry, by use of either a dedicated load center, or a service rated automatic transfer switch. There is no need for extension cords or power strips, as your existing outlets and electrical items are backed up where they are presently. Simply Explained... An automatic standby generator monitors your utility power coming into the main electrical panel of the home. In the event of a power outage, or "brownout", the generator will start up - automatically. The circuits in your home that have been pre-selected will now have generator power for the duration of the power outage. Once utility power has been restored, it will automatically return itself to a standby state.
