Deckers recent credits include the Academy Award winning LIFE OF PI, and R.I.P.D. starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. As the Lighting Supervisor on R.I.P.D. he was instrumental in establishing the digital production methodology and supervising shot production in multiple countries. The city wide destruction and supernatural vortexes benefited from Deckers attention to detail and passion for problem solving. John began his career in 1994 at Dream Quest Images, before moving to Sony Pictures Imageworks where he worked on GODZILLA and the Academy Award nominated STARSHIP TROOPERS. He later moved to R!OT Pictures where he contributed his artistic skills to BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, ANGEL, THE X-FILES and SMALLVILLE. Additional work includes designing the look of the battered and beaten robotic adversary for Will Smith in I,ROBOT. Decker sank New York City in THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, and helped President Lincoln walk in NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN. His video game credits include multiple titles of the MEDAL OF HONOR franchise.
