Answer: We are a non-profit organization based in Shalimar, FL and our goal is for all children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties to enter school fully prepared for educational success. We believe in not only providing education for our children, but giving them the quality education they deserve. With this, the coalition is to promote a collaborative school readiness and early childhood service system, to deliver an integration of cognitive, social/emotional and physical development experiences that increase children's opportunities for success. Our priorities are to increase child care capacity, as number of slots available for young children is severely limited. Increase the quality of subsidized school readiness services through training and technical assistance. Utilize appropriate screening and assessment tools for subsidized child care in accordance with state statutes. Boost outreach to unique populations, and expand community awareness of strategies for improving child well being.
