Answer: Daedalus Innovations has been providing high-performance, non-magnetic pressure vessels for research applications requiring NMR and MRI analysis for over 15 years. Our highest performing NMR tubes are rated for continuous use at 3,000 bar (43,510 psi) all within a 5 mm outside diameter vessel. The large active volume of these tubes makes them ideally suited for biophysical applications, but these have also been used for more exotic experiments such as rock fracture experiments monitored directly by NMR spectroscopy. We have even larger volume tubes rated to 1,000 bar more suitable for supercritical CO2 applications and other chemical reaction studies. We offer manifolds for a variety of spectrometers with both dynamic versions which allow for pressure changes while in the NMR and valved configurations to meet customers needs. Use of our equipment does not require any modification to the NMR thus allowing for use of the highest performing probe technology available. Pumps and other hardware are also part of our inventory, allowing us to be a one-stop shop for high-pressure applications. Our expertise in high-pressure vessels for NMR spectroscopy has been extended to rock core analysis in the form of a biaxial overburden cell for petroleum reservoir analysis. As exploration for oil expands into more hostile down-hold conditions, the gap between well measurements and controlled laboratory results continues to widen. This creates a high degree of uncertainty in assessing reservoir quality. Our overburden cell enhances the ability of support laboratories to match the intense pressure and temperature conditions that will continue to be found in future explorations. This will allow field engineers to better determine productivity and identification of sweet spots for overall enhanced oil recovery. Our cells have also seen increased used in examining storage resource capacity, injectivity, and integrity for carbon storage applications.
