Answer: Columbus Fair Auto Auction got its start in 1959 as a one-lane auction at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. William Jacobs started Columbus Fair Auto Auction based on excellent customer service and fairness. He recognized that auctions offered a solution to automobile dealers needs for a source and marketplace for used motor vehicles. The auction moved to Obetz, OH in 1977; the location better served CFAAs needs and vision for the future. The 85 acre lot sits in the center of Obetz and includes: 11 auction lanes, reconditioning center, Rub and Touch shop, mechanical repair center, on-site test track, and until recently, a full-service restaurant.
