Answer: Cartoules is Greek for "Little Cards." We're a small family operated design and letterpress studio based out of Long Beach, California, and we love paper and the art of printing. As a long time paper fanatic, I (designer + printer Julie Karatzis) decided to design and letterpress our own wedding invitations. Because my husband and I married in Greece, our invitations needed to be bilingual and of course unique. After printing them together, and having enjoyed our experience so much, we decided to set up shop. When I'm not behind the press, I love to cook, troll for flea market finds, and obsess over interior design blogs and magazines. All of our work is designed and printed in house utilizing photopolymer plates, on an 1887 Golding & Co. Pearl Press, and a 1926 Chander & Price. We're up for almost any challenge, but especially love working on wedding invitations and personalized stationery. Please contact us if you have any questions, and if you're local we'd love to meet you!
