Answer: Custom Black Locust Lumber products for architects, landscape designers, and exclusive residences. We manufacture and design custom Black Locust Lumber products for sustainable architectural projects globally. Decking, urban green spaces, ProFlowTM Permeable Pavers, site furnishings, and custom Millwork. Black Locust Lumber is a sustainable business that strives to maintain the most impeccable environmental standards in our progressive industry. At our sawmills locations, we utilize 100% of the material from our Black Locust logs -- from bark to sawdust. As a custom sawmill, we are capable of utilizing every piece of lumber for different projects and products, depending on the aesthetic quality. The lumber that does not meet our Furniture, Premium or Landscape Grade standards are used for agricultural and industrial products. Excess fibre and sawdust are used as biomass for bioenergy. Our philosophy is zero-waste. We are a vertically integrated company that is involved with the lumber every step of the way, from our own procurement foresters to the administrative staff. All of our products are made in the U.S.A. and the EU are 100% Lacey Act Compliant. Black Locust is a sustainable, maintenance free alternative to endangered tropical hardwoods and chemically treated lumber. Black Locust, also known as Robinia Pseudoacacia, is a naturally durable hardwood that will last for decades without any chemical treatments. The Rainforest AllianceTM lists Black Locust among the most preferred alternatives vs. tropical hardwoods for outdoor applications. The harvesting of rainforest tropical hardwoods is unsustainable. Black Locust / Robinia Pseudoacacia, serves as an alternative to pressure-treated lumber., which is treated with a wide variety of Red Listed chemicals in accordance with The Living Future Institute. Therefore, no further enhancements or treatments are required for the longevity of the Black Locust.
