Answer: Beta General LLC is a sole proprietor limited liability company formed in 2009, located in the Dayton Ohio area, to provide independent ("1099") contract work to assist companies in the preparation, writing, and editing of procurement documents, technical proposals, technical reports, technical papers, and technical news release articles. Beta General provides general project/program management consulting, scientific and technical consulting. The owner, Mr. Rene Thibodeaux, completed his B.S. in Phyics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in 1979 and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1983. At AFRL, he managed 27 technology development contracts in aerospace electrical power systems ranging from $100K SBIR's to $10M multi-task order ID/IQ contracts. Some of the technology projects he managed explored high frequency resonant power converters for space based radar power distribution, high voltage pulsed power systems for airborne high power microwaves, direct energy conversion systems powered by hypersonic scramjet engines, and thermionic converters for a space solar concentrators. He published over 20 technical conference papers and chaired and organized several technical workshops and all the technical reviews related to his projects for AFRL and SDIO over the course of his career.
