Answer: Artvest Partners LLC is an independent advisory firm with over four decades of experience in art and finance. Founded in 2009 to counsel private clients, museums, foundations, and Fortune 500 companies on acquisitions, dispositions, and business strategies related to art. Artvest also arranges art financing for private collectors and dealers. Artvest is the principal architect of the two highly acclaimed and successful TEFAF New York art fairs at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. Artvest envisioned, negotiated and structured a joint venture with TEFAF NL (owner and organizer of TEFAF Maastricht) to adapt the venerable European Fair to the US market twice each calendar year as TEFAF New York Fall and TEFAF New York Spring. Launching in 2016, the TEFAF New York Fairs exhibit at the Park Avenue Armory and encompass the Drill Hall and all the historic rooms on the first and second floors of the 19th century building. Each Fair hosts over 90 of the worlds leading art dealers. Through its advisory business, Artvest has guided clients from around the globe on projects in the billions of dollars. In 2013, while consulting for Citibanks Equity Research Group, Artvest concluded a groundbreaking, thirteen-year analysis of Sothebys that led to activist investors taking sizable positions in the company. In 2014, Artvest was retained by the Detroit Institute of Arts and the City of Detroit to provide an analysis of the potential bankruptcy sale of the entire museum art collection and to serve as an Expert Witness in the Citys Chapter 9 bankruptcy trial. The art market is complex, opaque and unregulated, making it difficult for all but the most experienced to navigate, and sound, unbiased advice is essential. Entirely independent, Artvest has the flexibility to promote a clients best interests while maintaining objectivity, transparency and privacy as its highest priorities.
