Answer: AEF is Arkansas's Industry representation at the statehouse for environmental legislation in Arkansas. AEF is also a gateway for industries to state regulators regarding environmental matters. We have stakeholders on regulatory initiative groups, regulatory reform groups, and nearly every initiative local regulators undertake with regard to policy and regulation. Our involvement with local regulators is vital to building relationships with industry's state regulators; many of our members speak about having a better relationship with state regulators due to the relationships forged through AEF events and meetings. AEF is industry's feet on the ground in the capital city for regulation and legislative development, reform, and negotiation. We also actively participate with the environmental committee of the U.S. Chamber for federal regulatory comments, input, and discussion. We also provide a network of 200+ companies with thousands of employees for members to reach out to for input, discussion, brain storming, and development. This is all in addition to the programming we offer throughout the year for continuing education, where we provide top-notch speakers on trending topics for environmental matters that face our state or will in the future. Join our network and reap the benefits! Contact Ava F. Roberts for more information: aroberts@environmentark.org
