Answer: AphroChic is dedicated to celebrating design, culture, and creativity throughout the African Diaspora. Founded by husband-and-wife team Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason, the two are experts in creating experiences and telling stories about Black life at home. For over 15 years, AphroChic has been documenting the Black family home and Black contributions in the world of design through projects with HGTV, House Beautiful and their own publication, AphroChic magazine. The company has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies as content creation experts, developing national marketing campaigns, pop-ups, concept spaces, and experiential environments that focus on outreach to an African American audience. Their clients include Nike, Amazon, Target, The Home Depot, Lowes, IKEA, Warner Bros. Discovery, Time Inc., Progressive and Hearst. Jeanine and Bryan are the authors of REMIX: Decorating with Culture, Objects and Soul and APHROCHIC: Celebrating the Legacy of the Black Family Home, both published by Penguin Random House. The latter is being hailed as "the most important design book of our time." The couple produced HGTVs Sneak Peek With AphroChic, a groundbreaking house tour series created exclusively for HGTVs Facebook Live channel. And wrote, directed and produced the documentary short film, Baltimore Speaks: Black Communities, COVID-19 and the Cost of Not Doing Enough, with support from the Centers for Disease Control. The couple also guides the creative direction of their collection of coveted home decor products that celebrate the African Diaspora. The line includes lighting handmade in Morocco, a global collection of art and decorative objects, and a luxury line of wallpaper, bedding, and pillows, all available on Wayfair, Perigold and 1stDibs. AphroChic has been featured on Good Morning America, Next Question with Katie Couric, NBC Open House and has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
